for Philada. is about three weeks and shall visit Pittsburgh in the course of the semester. The latter city has manifested particular interest in this peace, and, I am certain, will do all they can for us.

I do not remember whether I informed you that I have forwarded a document to Pitts, signed by Govr. Patton and all the leading men in this vicinity, requesting the establishment of a Normal School at this point. The whites are very friendly, and have always without an exception, treated me with respect.

Nothing would give us more pleasure than a visit from you, and we hope that you will find it convenient to call upon the schools of North Alabama early in the fall, if not sooner.

I am Yours Truly
Oscar M. Waring
