Dear Sir  I here with remit to you my thirteenth monthly report of my school, and I must say to you that my experiment has been a satisfactory one to me, the pupils in the main have made greater proficiency than I expected them to make.  There are exceptions it is true, but I have had to labour very hard, more so than I ever laboured with a white school.

I have not as yet received my money for May. Now if you have put me on penance, I think it would be proper with all to name the offence for I am not conscious of having violated.
