I have the honor to return herewith Check No 1322 on U.S. Depositary Mobile Ala." favor J.S. Warren
in payment of his services as Teacher at Prairieville.
This Check was enclosed in communication from Office Supt of Education, March 3" 1868, it being supposed that Mr Warren was near Marion, Perry Co., Ala.
He has been addressed by letter at Marion, but no reply has been received, and after diligent inquiry nothing can be learned as to his whereabouts.
Please acknowledge receipt of check and oblige.
