Dear Sir
Your kind favor of the 10th inst. Received. In reply to your inquiry what discount we will on our school book publications. Provided the series is introduced into the schools under your charge, would say:
We will furnish them for the specific purpose name, at a discount of thirty (30) percent from our wholesale prices. We have heretofore always furnished our books for the Freedmens School at this discount, which is much larger discount than we ever make for any other purpose. & we propose continuing this discount to these schools. This is furnishing the books very nearly at cost. The set of our books sent to Texas for you, we presume you never rec’d. Shall we send you a duplicate set.
Very Respectfully Sargent, Wilson & Hinkle
