Dr Sir -
There has been erected in this County a [[strikethrough]] house [[/strikethrough]] school house for Freedmen. The House is now up & only requires some assistance from the Freedmans Bureau to have the same completed. 

Mr Henry M Bush for Supt of Education informed me that the Bureau would render more assistance where a disposition was manifested upon the part of the citizens to help themselves. 

Having erected the building, and done all that was possible ourselves, we would ask for money to purchase 440 feet of flooring at 1.25  One Hundred Feet weatherboarding 1 25  Four Hundred & forty feet of Sheeting at 80 cts, and five Dollars worth of nails.

By a little assistance in this case, a school for Freedmen can be secured.

You will also please let me know what amount the Bureau will allow towards the rent of a suitable House for the Freedman's school in the
