Mobile, Ala. Feb. 1st 1870.
Col. Edwin Beecher
Dear Sir:
I duly received your letter of the 25th ult. As I saw no place on the report adapted for a number of names of teachers, you will find them on the third page of this letter.
I am not familiar with the names of the teachers in other colored schools. The "Old Board" have some in their employ who are not called worthy of their positions. And judging from pupils that we occasionally receiving from those schools, the reports are correct. One however, a Mr Watson, is probably of a better class. There may be others.

Very respectfully
J. Kimball.

P.S. Misses Hoyt & Europe are pupils who teach a short time each day.
