Dear Sir:
I am unable to find any copy of the deed of Freedmen's school building of Eufaula.
You wrote me to send you a copy; I supposed you had one, & I am almost positive I gave a duplicate, or Transcript to Mr. Rhodes for safe keeping. Yet Mr. R. is unable to find any, & I have applied in vain to the office of the Judge of Probale at Clayton, thinking a copy might have been left there.
Are you quite sure you haven't a copy in your possession? I am atmost certain I sent one to Capt Bush : had Parcell, copy one in good shape for him, & think I must have sent it.

Respectfully - C.P. Wheeler
