In compliance with Circular dated State of Ala Bureau RF and A.L. Office Supt of Education Montgomery Ala June 20th 1868 I have the honor to make the following report.

There are at this time eleven schools in operation in this District. These schools are taught by the pupils of the Normal School at Talladega, and will close on the 1st of October, as the teachers wish to return to school at that time. The school at Columbiana taught by Mrs E.S. Thompson will close this month.

There are six additional schools needed in this Dist viz - One at Eastaboga Talladega County, one at Montavalle Shelby County, one at Ashville St. Clair County, and one at
