Know all men by these presents that we Frank P O'Brien W. A. McBryde and J. H. O'Brien are held and firmly bound unto Col. W. C. Arthur A. Q. Master in the penal sum of Twelve Hundred Dollars to be well and truly paid the said Arthur or his assigns for which payment we bind ourselves, our hires, executors, and administrators firmly, by these presents sealed and dated this 12th day of September 1868

The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Frank P. O'Brien has agreed and contracted with the said Arthur to furnish all materials and to do and perform all the workmanship necessary in and for the completion of the painting & Glazing of a certain building, in the city of Montgomery County and State aforesaid, to be erected, and called the "Colored Peoples Academy"

Now if the said Frank P. O'Brien shall well and truly perform his said contract and agreement with the said Arthur then this obligation shall be void and of no effect, but otherwise to remain in full force
