Be it remembered that on this 31st day of March 1869 it is agreed between Henry M Bush, officer of the United States of America in the Bureau. Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands of the first part and Alexander J Bragg of the County of Wilcox and State of Alabama of the Second part, in manner following viz.

The party of the second part for the consideration hereinafter mentioned, doth for himself his heirs executors and administrators covenant with the said party of the first part that he the said party of the second part or his assigns, shall and will, by or before the 20th day of May A.D. 1869, in a good and workmanlike manner, and at his own proper charge and expense at Camden in the County and State aforesaid will and substantially, erect build and, finish, one house at Messuage, according, to the draught scheme, explanation, and dimensions following viz;

Building to be 72 feet by 30 feet, and 14 feet in clear, Sills to the 3 feet from ground at lowest clear, and supportive wherever necessary by good brick pins well laid in lime and mortar, said pins to be in no place more than 10 feet from center to center  The frame to be of good sound pine timber of suitable sizes.

Roof to have 2 feet projection, on every side, to be covered with good pine boards one inch thick, not exceeding 3 inches apart, then covered with good heart pine or Cypress shingle laid not more than one third to the weather
