SOHO ARTISTS HEYWARDS, KUSHNER HEAD SOHO TV LINEUP

SoHo TV, Cable's newest and brightest producer, is bringing the work of the anant-garde out of the lofts and onto the home screen Monday nights at 9 p.m. on Manhattan Cable and Teleprompter's Channel 10. During the rest of April, SoHo TV will feature Julia Heyward and Robert Kushner, both respected and well-known artists in the new medium of performance art.

Julia Heyward shows a videotape, CONSCIOUS KNOCKS UNCONSCIOUSM scheduled for April 17th. The tape was developed from performance works, which have been seen throughout the United States and abroad. Creating fluid and constantly changing dreamlike situations, often arising from sound associations occurring in the monologue that threads through the work, Heyward also exhibits a highly developed musical sense.

Robert Kushner appears wearing his "soft sculpture" -- bizarre and often beautiful costumes which he models for the viewer. His ONE SIZE FITS ALL, scheduled for April 24, is a "fashion show" in which he develops such sequences as "The Persian Line" and the "New York Hat Line." These are both parodies of the fashion world and settings for his painted, appliqued and sewn constructions.
