TWO WINDOWS

colorized black and white and color videotape, 12 minutes, sound, colorization and editing provided by Electronic Arts Intermix, 1976.

The camera focuses on two windows of a building. Each window is partially covered by a large sheet of paper hanging from the top. The wind causes the papers to flap about and occasionally there is a completely illogical movement or series of movements unrelated to the wind. It appears to be a planned choreography of the two papers. After concentrating on the windows for a length of time a sudden change of image occurs forcing the formation of new relationships. The content of the piece changes and becomes more complex as the two windows take on multifaceted meaning.
