MAYOR

OFFICE OF THE MAYOR

September 15, 1989

Dear Finalist:

Congratulations once again on being named a finalist for the 1989 Mayor's Arts Awards Ceremony. The D.C. Commission on the Arts, in conjunction with the Department of Recreation and Parks, is anxiously preparing for this exciting annual event.

As you know, the ceremony is to be held on Monday, September 25, 1989 at the Duke Ellington School for the Arts. All finalists are asked to check in upon arrival (main lobby) for important instructions before being seated. Finalists are also asked to designate someone to accept their award in the event of their own absence; prior notification to the commission is greatly appreciated. Acceptance speeches are encouraged but must be limited to 60 seconds to insure a fast-paced, smooth-running evening.

If you have any questions concerning the ceremony, please do not hesitate to call the commission office at 724-5613. Thank you for your cooperation and good luck!

Sincerely,

Cheryl T. Goodman
