Bonney dearest:

Just received your postal and glad you are at work. I should have written you a line last night only I got to talking with Mr & Mrs Cox after dinner and I was so tired from chasing about. I should have gone right to bed.

I spent the morning at the Bon Marché and got a number of things amongst other things the beds and mattresses. Then in the afternoon I went to the bazar of the Rue de Rennes and I found I could get beds & mattresses much cheaper there, so I chased back to the Bon Marché and canceled that part of my order and will order them tomorrow at rue de Rennes. I found so many things cheaper there that I think I shall go there for every little thing I can. The place is like those bazars we went to only it has the advantage of being within walking distance and is not at all as crowded. I bought a number of things, but they will not be delivered until
