Bonny dearest, 

I am writing this on the train, on my way to Philadelphia. That will surprise you. It also surprises me. 

Last evening I was called up by telephone from the Art Alliance and told that the prize for the best single figure in the out of door exhib. at Rittenhouse Sq. had been awarded to me and that they wanted very much to have me come over for the ceremonies and receive it. At first I thought I would not go but every one seemed to think I should. So here I am on the way. The prize is only $200.00 but it may help to sell the figure or do good in some other way. 

The Mayor of Phila. is going to speak at the reception and they are to have a grand pow wow.

I am returning home on the 6 o'clock train.

I received a lovely long letter from you yesterday with the plan of the wax enclosed. It is going just where we thought it would. I will write about the poles at once. I hope we can arrange to be up there to decide just where they should be.
