tired of the cooking already. I washed some handkerchiefs and a shirt for Bonny this A.M. It gave me something to do. I study French quite a good deal and am getting on pretty well. I wonder if you have had any word from Fanny. It seems a long time already since we left home. I wonder how you are. I hope we shall find a letter waiting for us in Paris.
Wednesday the 26th
Well, our journey is nearly at an end. Tomorrow afternoon, if all goes well, we will land and we will be very glad although we have had a lovely trip - no bad weather and no sickness. We did not have our trunk brought up -  we did not need it. Tell Maggie that my cap has been fine, the best I have ever had. We could just as well have done without steamer chairs as we have used
