must have driven to at least ten places and the only thing we could find was one room for 6.00 dollars for the night. and another for $4.00 so we took the $4.00 room.  by this time it was quite late.  The next day I stayed in bed until noon and Bonny went out to look around and find a room -  he finally found a place where he has been a number of times - not the place we know, but a much nicer place - there he brought me to see if I would like it and as I was well pleased we moved in at once and here we are - we are just a step from the store of the Louvre and of course only a step to the Louvre its self - the street is (rue des Croix Petits Champ) no. 10.)  it is near the Palais Royal and quite near the original Duval Restaurant - the best part of it is we have two rooms a drawing room or parlor and a bed room with two very comfortable beds - we have two windows on a court - which is quite pretty with palms etc. [[and?]] one window on the street - so we have plenty of air & light and we also have plenty of places to keep things we have put in a little stock of things so when we come home hungry late at night etc. so you see we are very comfortably fixed considering the city is so crowded - The first evening we went down the river on one of the little boats to the Exposition
