looked at all the sculpture.  It is terrible that there is so much bad sculpture in the Expo.  It is almost impossible to find the few good things.  Janet's piece is a large relief representing music - simply a female figure - it is plain to be seen that she made one grand attempt to receive recognition.  It is well placed but you know she did not receive anything on it.  Miss Yandell has only the cup we saw in Tiffanys and Carries pieces are all small - she has three things - I do not think she has improved at all.  I was much disappointed in Fred Marshe's picture.  It is of Alice and not very good.  I can not see why they gave it a medal.
  Tonight we wandered home and had a lovely time looking in the shop windows.  Saw lots of things we should like to buy.  I
