Mamma dearest.

Ive had a very comfortable trip down to Paris and arrived about eleven o'clock and found a nice room here they have made the hotel all over since we were here and everything is brandy new and clean and running hot & cold water in the room so we are very comfortable.

Madamese Boue (my dressmaker) came at ten o'clock this morning as we were taking our tea and I have ordered her to make me a new tailor suit - a white evening dress and a white evng coat: also a waist for the tailor suit - so much to begin with. I was very glad to find her still here. I would not know what to do without her - she is so nice and [[?]] too - I will send you samples of my dress as soon as I get them - she is going to find the stuffs for me - so I won't have to chase around, she is certainly a
