We took tea with the Graysons and while we were there there was a hail storm which covered everything in white so it looked like winter. It felt like winter, too. I've put on my warmest clothes and it's none too warm even then. I see by the papers that there is a very hot wave in NY. I hope you are not suffering. The Graysons are to take us for a little trip in their auto soon. They expect to go to Germany this summer and strange to say they are to be in the same town where Bonni[[strikethrough]]e[[/strikethrough]]'s mother was born. They say it is the most beautiful and charming place.

Did you see in the paper that Mr. E. M. R. French had died of cancer?
