I am so glad we have our tickets home on that fast boat for we will not be so long after all - and we will be able to spend a little time up at our little place. It is too early to do any buying now as the winters stiles [[styles]] are not yet out. I did buy a very pretty silk sweater in Paris for about eight dollars - at home it would have cost twenty five at least so I think I will be able to get all my things cheaper.

August 4th.

Just received the enclosed letter from Tuhl. Have also just heard from Mme Bour. She writes that her mother is very ill and she can not leave her at all. I am afraid she can not do any thing for me.

I am having this little house cleaned today by the new woman and she is doing very well she gets less than 15 cents an hour and they think that is terrible - of course it is terrible in their money.

Bonny is going to the post office now so I must stop.

Oceans of love and kisses
from your Betty
