Dearest Lulette,

Such a nice letter from you, dated Sept. 29th. I am so sorry that you are not coming east just now, but perhaps it would be better for you in the Spring as winter weather would not be so good for you after being in a warm climate for some time. So we will look forward to next June. 
I have just received a sweet letter from Jean - as soon as I answer it I will send it to you as I know every word your precious Jean puts to paper is treasured by you.
Jean seems to pleased to have the picture, I am going to try to find some more for her. You better send her
