Room 207 - Guest Room

Our recollection is that trim and mouldings in this room are neat and unobtrusive; therefore, unless there is some overwhelming reason for not keeping the trim (such as that it has already been removed) I can image keeping the trim. The walls are to be steamed to remove wall paper, and trim and walls are both to be a clear, cool white. Wall brackets are all to be removed. We do not wish an overhead light in this room. Convenience outlets are to be placed in relation to anticipated furniture layout. There might be two convenience outlets on top of the big bay window sill. Old doors remain. It is my recollection that the floor is in good shape--whether it as well as everything else needs to be sanded down must be determined. The window sill of the bay window is pictured as a table not as a seat as has been done until now.

Guest Room Closet One hopes that the closet can have a light in it and that it is equipped with rod and one (or two) shelf (s).

Space 208 - Back Hallway and Service Stairways

It is my recollection that everything is in fairly good shape here. The mouldings and trim need not be eliminated. The doors and drawers also are working fairly well. It is more a matter of cleaning up here. The stairway up to the third floor needs some repair on the angled step and the walls of this stairway should have paper steamed off and painted white. I am not certain whether all the closet doors in this area should be painted white or left the dark wood they are now. One of the closets on the south side of the hall is actually not a closet but a linen chute which we will eliminate by our placing of the refrigerator down below; therefore, shelves, etc., whatever is needed, should be placed in this space. Aline will have some thoughts about just where shelves should be placed and where this is need for storage of vertical cleaning contraptions.
