Darling —— Everything is so swell —— & I just have to tell you this.

Harry phoned on the way to N.Y. last week & reminded me I had long ago said I would like him to look me up in N.Y. —— & that he is looking for a job.

He had left Chicago & never recieved  my  letter (written just after you left N.Y.) saying we were definitely engaged & wanted to hear what had happened. I told him we are engaged & said I'd get him in touch with Singer & Stone —— & that was that.

Just wanted to get it off my chest —— & am hoping this is not why you begged me to come to you suddenly —— as this would mean (a.) you
