Dear Eero,

I hasten to write you so that you can organize yourself to come to Chicago with us. I say with us, because Gerald Loeb who is having Frank Lloyd Wright build him a palace soon, is driving me out to Taliesin [[strikethrough]] g [[/strikethrough]] and stopping in Chicago on the way. We leave my home in Ohio on Thursday the 13th to drive to Chicago. Can we pick you and Lilly up in Detroit? Saturday morning we expect to continue to Madison. That would give us Thursday night and all day Friday in Chicago. I shall invite Mies to dinner Friday night, although we can see him in the day time as well naturally.

If this does not fit. I shall be back in Chicago Monday night of the next week and can stay over to see you if you will come down for Tuesday. Please, please make this fit; since I want to see you so much again as well as to have you talk to Mies, if you can. I say "if you can" because sometimes he is difficile, to say the least.

I have dedicated my latest house to you because it is a perfect rectangle, the front of which is exactly the same as the back -- so simple.

Write me here or call or write to New London Ohio, which is all the address necessary, after Sunday the 9th. The phone is New London 7233 or something like that.

Lilly, I liked the tigers in "Portfolio" very much. Don't ask me why; sculpture and drawing just aren't m[[strikethrough]]a[[/strikethrough]]y metier. Please come with Eero and me.

Gerald Loeb is a great amateur of architecture and is very anxious to meet you, so please join us.

As ever,

Philip J.
