Pectoralis Major
Origin from the whole length of the Sternum, from about two anterior thirds of the Clavicle & from the cartilage of the 5th, 6th, & 7th ribs

It is a radiated Muscle, its fibers running transversely, collect themselves into a flat tendon which becoming in some degree, twisted goes to form the anterior fold of the arm pit-
Inserted in the ridge of the [[?]] humurus [[humerus]] at the outer edge of the groove that Cadges the long head of the biceps
Use to move the arm on the clavicle, obliquely upwards, forward & obliquely downwards  its is the Chief support of the body when suspended by the arms
Remarks - this muscle occupies all the spaces each side of the Sternum, covering all the chest, & thus comprising the breasts; it is all external except the tendon which is coverd at its insertion by the anterior edge of the Deltoid
