Dr. Vivian Henderson's report on the Credentials Committee, was read:  The new fellows who had been selected and who had accepted their nominations were:  Wilfred Cartey, Sammy Davis, Jr., Ruby Dee, Katherine Dunham, Lena Horne, Carleton Moss, Elliot Skinner, Hale Woodruff, Leopold Senghor, and Gwendolyn Brooks.  They were welcomed with a round of applause for those present.  Under new business Lerone Bennett brought up the possibility that members who are active contact nonactive members to stiumate [[stimulate]] them to participation.  It was passed.  It was agreed to establish regional groups under the direction of fellows in those regions.

Dr. Lincoln excused himself, and after further discussion on the issue of the membership, the meeting was adjourned by the Vice President John Killens in the Chair to take up the meeting on the Black Publishers with Mr. Prettyman and Mr. Fuller.  Meeting adjourned at 4:15 p.m.
