eventually lead to the destruction of the social orders which made possible the creation of the tribal arts. The gradual yet complete decline in the quality and vitality of African art followed. The third panel depicts these developments.

The fourth and fifth panels reveal the similarities between African and other so-called primitive arts and the influences of African art on Modern Art styles of today.

The sixth and last panel consists of a group of portraits of negro artists who have distinguished themselves throughout history. Included are: H. O. Tarmer, E. M. Bannister, Richmond Barthé, Juan Pareja, Sebastian Gomez, Robert Duncanson, Horace Pippin, and others.

The spaces in which each mural is installed are lunette-shaped. Each measures 12 ft. high x 12" wide.
