S.T.B. Morse relinquished the Art Practice by no absorbsion in the Telegraph 
It would have been a gratification to have here introduced a view of Mr Morse's [[strikethrough]] beautiful [[/strikethrough]] Pougkeepise residence but it is perhaps more belonging to Telegraphy sham act, and in the absence of the family [[strikethrough]] but [[/strikethrough]] I have failed in obtaining it. It may be found in the Rev'd Irenian Primes life of Morse. It is [[strikethrough]] a beautiful[[/strikethrough]] an especially extensly little picture of a charming place. [[strikethrough]] by Lossing  [[/strikethrough]] and possesses the additional interest [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]] in the foreground of three [[strikethrough]] little [[/strikethrough]] figures intended to represent. three of the noblest and brightest ornaments of the profession - Remb't Peale STB Morse Benson Jr. & Lossing who happened to meet there when it was taken - [[strikethrough]] He's Some lessening of any disappointment to know Exception might be taken to its introduction here as not being financially an art product, but rather that of the world renowned telegraph of his invention [[/strikethrough]]. Apropo of the Telegraph. I possess one of the very earliest messages ever taken and preserved to wit [[strikethrough]] taken by [[/strikethrough]] By Mr Morse our hand in the Geological cabinet in the University building in the City of New York on the occasion of its first public Exposition to [[strikethrough]] of fin [[/strikethrough]] his invited friends - 1848 _ the Explanatory letters to the Symbolic signs in Mr. Morses own writing A treasure I value very-very highly
