DEAR SIR :

On the sixteenth of this month Mr. RUSSELL STURGIS will attain his sixtieth birthday. Since he has stood in this community for many years for all that is best in art, not in one form, but in many, it has seemed fitting that his artistic and literary friends should, at this anniversary, unite to tender him a Subscription Dinner.
