Structure & Construction

Perspective & Space

Perspective is the arrangement and projections of forms relating to an abstracted concept of space.
Space is the [[strikethrough]] arrangem [[/strikethrough]] field in painting the plane. in sculpture the mass. which forms are arranged and projected without not necessarily relating to any preconceived limitations or abstracted agreement about these limitations of such an arrangement. But projects the concept by conforming to the real limitations of a surface or a volume.

Rhythm, logic of proportion, tension, and movement are the inexorable laws governing unity and the mastery of the space problem. Knowledge of the convention perspectives, or systems of construction are only aids in the achievement of realizing space. Excepting prehaps the primitive forms of expression in which native simplicity and naturalness succeed in achieving a direct expression of all human experience, only genius holds the key to unity of expression.
