LEO CASTELLI

10 July, 1964

Dear Mr. Castelli,

I spoke to Mr. Kiesler this morning after I got your letter. He is, I am afraid, going to be a problem. He wants you to touch with Sandberg, someone in London, Berne and Munich. He has also sent Fitzsimmons a 9 page article written by him and all the color and black and white shots. He deems to expect a Cover spot and wants you to write Jim and see that the article gets a lot of attention,

Bob's money was of course deposited. The Venice letter has not yet appeared in the New Yorker, but you must already have seen the Life article, We are collecting all the documentation here. Poor Jim is going to have to work for 100 years to get it all down.

We will get the Power/Feigen money tomorrow. Dock is back now and says he thinks the Tamayo of the Kline deal is all but sold. Nothing yet on the other painting.

I phoned Del Junco and he was most helpful. He called Squirro who agreed to approach Scull. Dorothy Miller was also approached but she thought it wiser due to Scull's present attitude to stay out of it. I have heard nothing as yet, yeah or neah.

I phoned P. Grushkin about the books. They are not going to be ready until the middle of this month, and then some probably. The ones for Ileana will be sent directly to her. We have been doing extremely well with the advance orders.

So far two people want the same little Chamberlain. It is on reserve for Mrs. Lee and then if she doesn't take it the young Stebbins boy wants. Mrs. Davidson and her young son from Canada were in Yesterday. They may want to have Stella's Gezira on approval, she is willing to pay for the shipping. What price for it? I showed them a few Blosums as they were interested and the young man is definately taken with Roy's banner. So of all this maybe one thing will pan out. A young couple from California the Tanners were interested in Jasper's 2 Balls color litho. They may takeit.
