LEO CASTELLI

23 July, 1964

Dear Mr. Castelli,

'Allegory has arrived and Mr. Ganz will see it next week when it is out of customs. So the $15,000.00 will be in the bank by the end of next week!!

Dick sold the Tamayo and the De Kooning that he got in exchange for the Kline, so we will be due some money on that. It all depends upon when Dick gets paid, but I imagine that will be quite soon.

I received $676.00 from the Rands for the little RR. drawings we sold ( on consignment from Fried ). But it's money nevertheless.

The Di Tella is all set up. No ideas from JJ. so I just went ahead as if Flag were going to be sent. There can be a last minute change if necessary. Jim will take care of it.

For some reason Nancy was not given instructions to pay Roy, JJ, Ed for August. I know they need the money so I made out the checks. ( I spoke to Nancy at home and she O.K'd it. ) They are dated Aug. 1.

I have left everything that is within the realm of my present authority in good shape. It is all fairly well organized now and I can't think of any loose ends, so I feel at ease to leave. In any case Jime can get a hold of me in case of any unexpected emergency. Though I doubt if anthing [[anything]] will happen in August as New York is completely dead right now. You would not now know it. No activity at all. The few of us remaining are dying on our feet from the heat and the quiet.

I shall leave you for awhile. I plan to do nothing but read and sleep for the duration. Have a lovely time in La Douce France. My love to Toiny and hugs and kisses for J.C.

Love,
Nina
XOXOXOXO
