Jim, Thank you so much for your letter of August 4th. If you had written on the 31st, I would not have seen it anyway because I just got back from a trip to the South of France 2 days ago.

Speaking of money, I have'nt got the faintest idea of how we stand. Nancy & Nina have been very unclear about it, perhaps not to cause me anxieties during my vacation. Depending on the balance, I would like you to pay Ned Billig (although I dont quite know what those collect packing charges are about) &, especially, the $450- for Bob's Travelers checks, to Hanover Trust, as well as Tony Holden's salary.
