Dear LC:
Recieved your letter friday. Such delayed matters as now pertain should be resolved literaly in hours.

The Ganz - RR problem ran into another delay after my last letter. 'Allegory' had to have certain restoration work done at Mr. Ganz's request. The condition of the mirror behind the crumpled metal form was perrilous and had to be reinforced. Also a small tear in one of the fabric elements had to be closed. The mirror damage was rather old and was hidden from the front by the metal, the tear can be laid to London but was not severe enough for a claim (should you disagree with this it was witnessed at Santini). I have just come from Mr. Granec and am now trying to set up a viewing for Mr. Ganz tomorrow. Mr. Ganz reaffirmed his desire for the work and his intention to pay immediately when we discussed the damage. Hopefully tomorrow will see the end.

Bob's difficulties were all resolved with the call to london. He is mailing Tony a Check and all his bank needs is his written OK to take funds from his account for American Express. His rent was indeed taken care of by Nancy. He was interested in hearing more from Mr. Zampleny and I so informed him and am sending an itinerary so contract can be made in September.

As I have been writing Mr. Ganz returned my call and will see 'Allegory' tomorrow morning giving any final instructions to Mr. Granec himself. The check was promised right after the viewing if all is well. Also Nancy Called to say she was depositing the check from the KC Art Fund which she had just received from their attorney. Nancy incidentally has been on the job several times at the beginning of the month and now but her unemployment payments have not begun yet. There was some trouble clarifying the insurance of the Pollock and she went to a bit of trouble in clearing it up.

It is easier now that salvation is at hand to tell you that because of the Artist's checks for August being accidentally mailed out by Mr. Futterman rather than returned for holding by Nancy we had a deficit of around $1000. Miraculously nothing has bounced because (we figure) Jap did not deposit his but left for the South.

The 'Di Tella' shipment went off in time with the exception of your 'Flag' which did not clear customs in time being in a second section. The Stella group went to Dayton with no hitch. And finally the Dante books (25) at last arrived and boxes and codes seem to be in order. Since Fred Clark is again available I am arranging what deliveries are possible.

I wont attempt any gossip this time but will get this right off. All is rather quiet though.

Hope the remaining time is enjoyable for you all
