Dear Rosa,

As you know I have had a lot of trouble with the "11 POP ARTISTS". I do not intend to renew that experience.

Leo has assured me and I think in your name too that I would be the sole distributor for Europe for the "10 FROM CASTELLI". You wrote me that you had contacted directly ZWIRNER and RICKE and I explained to Leo over the phone that by doing that you were causing me to lose the whole of Germany. I was then answered that you would write to ZWIRNER and RICKE asking them to go through me.

In the meantime RICKE came to see me in Paris. I offered him the "10 FROM CASTELLI" at what I consider the minimum possible price in Europe that is $475.--with a down payment of $200.--. He reserved 5 sets and then sent me a check for $875.-- which does not correspond to the agreement and he now feels sure that he can get the albums from you for $350.--.

I am sure that you can see how embarrassing this is to me and how damaging too. The changing of prices and dealing with different people in different ways is a tangle of the european market which works against any smooth distribution. If you do not want me to handle the "10 FROM CASTELLI" please say so and I would only buy sets for myself.

In the meantime I am sending you two checks; one of $800.-- and one of $600.--. Please credit my account for the "10 FROM CASTELLI" with that.

Hoping to hear from you soon I remain

Sincerely yours,

Ileana Sonnabend
