Dear Jake:

I know no one can apply for the American Academy of Arts and Letters grant, but I feel that Sidney Goodman and William King would be worthy candidates. Since you are the only member of the Academy in the gallery, who can do this, would you suggest these men as possible candidates?

Sincerely,

Terry

P.S. I didn't want to bother you on the phone about this matter because of your recent bereavement.
