Dear Jake:

It was good talking with you if even for a moment. Birmingham accepted BUILDERS #1 for their collection- now all they have to do is get the money together! But they really were most keen on having that painting.

Dr. Kayden says he'll be in Seattle so I hope you'll have a pleasant time with him although he said the only free time he had was at 6:30 am!

Oh, I almost forgot - do you think you could write a short comment on the painting BUILDERS #1, 1971 for Birmingham? Please send it to Mr. Edward Weeks, Birmingham Museum of Art, 8th Ave. and 20th At., North, Birmingham, Ala. 35203. He feels a bit self-conscious about asking you to do this, but it would help for those maybe-not-so-art conscious people in Birmingham.

You'll see the statement covers a few more weeks this time as I was late in getting to it at the beginning of the month.

The Olympic silkscreen looks terrific!

Best to you and Gwen from us all,

Sincerely,
Luise
