Dear Luise:

We hope that all continues to go well and that you and Stanley are looking forward to a very pleasant holiday season. Sorry that we did not get to see you during your visit west...but another time.

This short note is especially to forward the statement on the Lorillard silkscreen work which has been requested.

Fond regards,

Title: "THE 1920's...THE MIGRANTS ARRIVE AND CAST THEIR BALLOTS"

Explanation: During the post world war 1 period millions of black people left the southern communities of the United States and migrated to settle in the northern cities of the United States. This migration reached its peak during the 1920's just before the great depression of the 1930's. Among the many advantages that the migrants found in the northern communities was the freedom to vote. This particular work represents some migrants taking advantage of that opportunity.
