Dear Mrs. Ward:

I am writing to ask whether you would be interested in handling the sale of a special edition of Mr. Indiana's New York State Theater poster backed with fabric, and which you could have Mr. Indiana sign.

As I believe I told you, Lincoln Center is sending the regular posters free to various museums, schools, libraries, etc. The enclosed notice is being sent with these, and we hope to sell additional copies for $2.00 each, which includes handling and mail charges. The U.S.I.A. is distributing 500 copies overseas. Mr. Indiana has also signed 50 copies of the poster which we are going to give to special friends of Lincoln Center, such as Mrs. List, the members of our Art Committee, various officials, etc.

Should you wish to sell a special signed edition of this work, backed with fabric, possibly in connection with Mr. Indiana's forthcoming show, how many would you think you could handle, and at what price would you wish to sell them? Of that figure, what would you feel would be a fair return to Lincoln Center to go back into our poster fund? Our printer has indicated it will cost approximately $2.50 each for the
