ART TALENT TREASURE HUNT
FOR HOWARD UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
FOUR $5.00 FIRST PRIZES
And 8 additional cash and material prizes

ART MAJORS AND MEMBERS OF THE DAUBERS CLUB ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE FOR PRIZES

The Regulations are as follows:
ALL WORKS MUST BE ORIGINAL

WORKS ELIGIBLE
I.   BLACK AND WHITE DRAWINGS in ink, charcoal, pencil, crayon or paint.
II.  PAINTINGS in oil, watercolor, tempera, pastel, or crayon.
III. SCULPTURES - CARVINGS - MODELINGS in soap, clay or wood
IV.  PHOTOGRAPHY. All photographs must be mounted and may not be less than 4 x 5 inches, exclusive of the mount. NOTE: All drawings or paintings must be matted or framed. Remember "presentation counts."

NUMBER
Four entries in each medium may be submitted to the jury by contestants.
The name must be clearly printed on the back of each work.

DATE FOR ENTRIES
Works will be received at the Howard University Gallery of Art Friday, March 24 through Monday, March 27. No works will be received after 4:00 P. M., March 27. Works must be called for at the close of the exhibition on April 4 at the Art Department in The School of Engineering and Architecture.

EXHIBITION
The exhibition of prize works and others selected by the jury will be open to the public from Saturday, April 1, hours - 5 to 6 P. M.; Sunday, April 2, hours - 2 to 5; and Monday, April 3, hours - 5 to 8 P. M.

JURY
All works to be exhibited must have the approval of the jury.

PRIZES
ART FACULTY PRIZE ($5.00) to be awarded for the best painting.
FRIENDS OF ART PRIZE ($5.00) to be awarded for the best work in sculpture, carving, or modeling.
DAUBERS CLUB PRIZE ($5.00) to be awarded for the best piece in black and white.
PHOTOGRAPHY PRIZE ($5.00) to be awarded for the best work in photography.
A Second Prize of $2.00 and a Third Prize of material will be awarded in each group.
