Dear Susanne, 

This is a copy of the letter I spoke to you about on the phone the other day. I was wondering if you could recall what agreement if any the Museum and Tony had regarding his purchase of Spitball. As you can see by the date of the letter (1976) this was quite some time after the edition was done. I know that at this time the Museum has two A/P's of this granite edition (both unmarked) in their collection, one that they were unaware of until recently.

Thanks for letting me know that it is granite, all records indicate it is black marble. 

One other question that you might be able to answer--in this letter from 1976 you mention Wandering Rocks and the Kahns. Do you happen to know where this particular edition 3/5 ended up?

Any information regarding these pieces would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your help.
