The sculpture is to be placed on a masonry or pre-cast surface. The sculpture should be set on pads that lift the piece about one inch from the surface, both for aesthetics and to allow air circulation.

The Fabricator, Lippincott, North Haven, Connecticut, estimates that the sculpture will take three months to execute.

Periodically during fabrication color 35mm slides will be taken, to document and show progress of the fabricaiton process.

SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS

Payment is to be made in three installments, one-third $105,000 upon the signing of the agreement, at which time the fabrication will commence; one-third upon completion of the sculpture; and the final one-third upon inspection at the time of delivery of the sculpture.

All payments should be made to the Susanne Hilberry Gallery and sent to 555 South Woodward, Birmingham, Michigan 48009.

SIGNAGE

There will be a sign with title, date and the Artist's name discreetly placed near the sculpture.

MAINTENANCE

The Client is responsible for the maintenance of the sculpture. No repair or restoration is to be made to the work without prior consultation with the Estate of Tony Smith. Contact for the Estate of Tony Smith is the Susanne Hilberry Gallery. If for some reason the Susanne Hilberry Gallery is not available in the future, the Detroit Institute of Arts' Department of 20th Century Art ( who has a major piece, Gracehoper, in their collection) can assist.
