Dear Elizabeth:

Congratulations on a very nice job of managing the show for Lewis Hine! You have done an excellent service, and I hope that St. Peter will add one solid gold string to your harp.

I am so glad that Lewis Hine is getting some attention now, while he is able to appreciate it. His pictures are bound to take a more important place in the history of American photography, and as a part of the history of America.

I haven't had a chance to get up and see the exhibit, but will, probably next week. I was, unfortunately, kept in Washington on the day of the opening.

I liked your article in the last U.S. Camera very much. It all adds up to a damn good job for Hine.

Those of us who know him, do appreciate the time and attention that you gave to this.

Regards to Berenice.

Sincerely yours,

Roy
