FALL EXHIBITION SERIES BEGINS!
We are proud to announce that through the courtesy of Mr. Jay Leyda, the work of Henri Cartier, brilliant young French photographer, is now on exhibition at the League. The exhibition will continue through September 24th. Put it on your MUST list.

FALL SCHOOL REGISTRATION NOW BEGINNING!!

The Photo League is giving three fall courses in photography. They will begin October 2, and run for 15 weeks. The course, "Fundamental Practise of Photography", with Kenneth Miller as instructor will be given for beginners, "Basic Photographic Technique", with Albert Fenn as instructor will be given for advanced amateurs, and the "Documentary Class", a workshop course for those interested in documentary photography. The instructor is Sidney Grossman. The fee is $15.00 per course and includes the use of League darkroom facilities.

School registration will begin September 1st. Instructors will be available for consultation any Friday evening in September at the League.

League members are urged to publicly display the school bulletin which is enclosed with Photo Notes. The League's school depends upon the League's members for its support.

SAN FRANCISCO

The League exhibition is now showing at the San Francisco "World's Fair". The show consisted of 40 prints from the Harlem Document, and 50 prints from various League members. "Photo Notes" is making every effort to contact Mr. Ansel Adams, who is in charge of the "Pageant of Photography" at the Fair, in order to get him to review the show. It should be an interesting comparison to Mr. Adams last letter. We'll let you know how we make out.

RALPH STEINER AT THE LEAGUE!
