Dear Mayor:

The National Congress of American Indians will hold its Sixth Annual Convention in your city September 21 to 24, inclusive, 1949. We hope to make this one of our biggest and best conventions.

The enclosed pamphlet will give you an idea of the aims and purposes of our organization.

We shall be most happy to have you appear on our program at one p.m on September 21, 1949, and extend greetings to the convention. If you can accept this invitation will you please advise me at your earliest convenience so that we may proceed with the printing of our program.
