States that on May 31st he forwarded for settlement by the Q.M. Accts for Office-rent, Postage clerk hire. Forage for May 1866 Since then have heard nothing from them. Also Requisitions for Stationery &c. No return or any acknowledgement or recognition [[strikeout]]of[[/strikeout]] has been made or any instructions given in relation to rations to supply Freedmen in his Sub Dist. Have no rations to issue. None of his communications have been acknowledged for the past eight days. Requests that Supt. will see that the above accounts are settled. Endorsement of the Asst. Commissioner dated Jane 9th, 1866. Respectfully referred to Capt. Almy Actg. Supt Central Dist.

Respectfully forwarded to Col C A Cilley, A.A.G. for information as to what disposition has been made of the Vouchers mentioned by this officer and which have been forwarded from Dist. Hd. Qrs. to Hd. Qrs. Asst. Com. for approval. This officer complains of not having any rations to issue to destitute Freedmen in his Sub Dist. and to those who are at work on and the infirm who are now at the Govt Farm at Goldsboro. How is this officer to procure the rations as there is no Commissary of Subsistence at Goldsboro?
