RESOLUTION NO. 24 WHEREAS, there is now in the process of erection a huge granite carving in the unique image of the American Indian depicting the life and character of the great Sioux and personified by a great warrior known in our history as Crazy Horse, WHEREAS, Thunderhead Mountain has thereforebeen selected and established and dedicated to the ancient cause of the American Indian, and WHEREAS, the said mountain and the huge carving will, whne completed, comprise the largest single statue in the entire world, and WHEREAS, the said carving has the united support and good will of the great Sioux tribes of the Dakotas, and WHEREAS, the Sioux tribes, desiring the united support and cooperation of the various tribes of the United States, beseech those tribes to also accept the said carving as a common commenration of all the tribes as representative of their cause, and WHEREAS, the said carving is created from the ancient and indomitable granite mountains of the Black Hills in South Dakota, and WHEREAS, the said Crazy Horse Stature is dedicated to the great spirit of this universe, and held forth in memory of the cause of a great race in our Nation, now, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the NCAI in its assembly and at their regular convention held in the State of Washington in the city of Bellingham, hereby heartily endorses and pledges united support WHEREAS, the Sioux tribes, desiring the united support and cooperation of the various tribes of the United States, beseech [[strikethrough]] es [[/strikethrough]] those tribes to also accept the said carving as a common commemoration of all the tribes as representative of their couse, and WHEREAS, the said carving is created from the ancient and indomitable granite mountains of the Black Hills in South Dakota, and WHEREAS, the said Crazy Horse Statue is dedicated to the great spirit of this universe, and held forth in memory [[strikethrough]] in [[/strikethrough]] of the cause of a great race in our Nation, now, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the NCAI in its general assembly and at their regular convention held in the State of Washington in the city of Bellingham, hereby heartily endorses and pledges united support
