RESOLUTION NO. 48

WHEREAS, the Colville Indians of the Colville Confederated Tribes of Washington are profoundly and deeply concerned about their Land Bill now pending before the Congress of the United States and,

WHEREAS, H.R. 2432 will clarify the title to the lands which rightfully belong to the said tribes and,

WHEREAS, the said bill now pending must of necessity be fully passed by the Congress of the United States so that the Colville Confederated Tribes may be in a position to develop and to promote their economic positions to its fullest potentialty and,

WHEREAS, the said development will enable the said tribes [[strikethrough]] the privilege of improving [[/strikethrough]] improve the overall economic and social conditions of the tribes on the said Reservation and,

WHEREAS, the expeditious enactment of the said [[strikethrough]] Legislature [[/strikethrough]] legislation [[strikethrough]] are [[/strikethrough]] is necessary so the tribes involved may be able to expand and extend their economy [[strikethrough]] their perrogofity prerogative in [[/strikethrough]] by obtaining loans over a long period of time for the purchase of additional lands and the rehabilitation of [[strikethrough]] its [[/strikethrough]] the tribes and [[strikethrough]] to expand [[/strikethrough]] by using said loans [[strikethrough]] to include [[/strikethrough]] for the expansion of small business enterprises [[strikethrough]] for and to [[/strikethrough]] to the [[strikethrough]] betterment [[/strikethrough]] advantage of the said tribes.
