on applications written out by ourselves.  Of these claims we forwarded 20 in Feb., and have already receved vouchers for three of them.  These vouchers are paid at the Eng. office in this city.
I am sorry to say that very little seems to be done in the state by Agt's of the Bureau for the collection of claims. In some counties, as for example Sumner, Williamson, Robertson, [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] Maury, and Shelby, a large number might certainly have been forwarded. In Sumner something like thirty discharges were obtained, but no claim was made up.
The present agent will, I doubt not, make these up as soon as the claimants can be found.
